Stuff i've watched recently: Breaking Bad.
If you haven't been living under a rock for the past year or so, chances are you've already heard about Breaking Bad and possibly have watched it. It follows the tale of a high school chemistry teacher named Walter White (Played by Bryan Cranston). Suffering from terminal cancer, he decides to make as much money to support his family once he's gone. What better way to do this than to turn to organised crime?
With Walter White being a chemistry teacher, he decides the best course of action is obviously to manufacture methamphetamine with ex-student Jesse Pinkman. (Played by Aaron Paul). Hilarity ensues. If you can picture a Dungeons and Dragons character alignment, Walt would be more "Lawful Good", with his deep moral code and believing in doing what's right. Whereas Jesse is more "Chaotic Neutral". As long as he gets paid he's happy.
The storyline of the drama is truely gripping, ask anyone who's watched the series and they'll agree that the writers have done an absolutely phenomenal job, they've clearly spent A LOT of time developing the plotline, with such deep foreshadowing in the earlier episodes and slowly building up and up as Walts crime empire grows larger and larger. All whilst he's dealing with family issues on the side, which leads to some fantastic sub-plots and dramatic irony. (For anyone who's watched it, the ending of the episode "Crawl Space". Oh my.)
If you haven't done already, you should definitely watch a few episodes. I'm not really someone who watches alot of dramas on TV. But Breaking Bad is easily one of my favourite TV shows of all time. A solid 10/10, everything about it was perfect and i'm deeply excited for the next series to start around July time!
